What's New in QuickBooks Pro and Premier 2010

For the second consecutive year, the most exciting new feature is the review tool customer data contained in the editions of Accountants QuickBooks Premier and QuickBooks Enterprise.

I'm not normally push my clients to grade unless their release is 3 years and older. But last year, Intuit has introduced a new Client Option data review for accounting which allows us to solve problems and correct errors in data capture customers in a few clicks of a button. Common data entry errors that used to take me hours to correct it can now be done in minutes!

If you've already had to hire a QuickBooks ProAdvisor or CPA for cleaning your data file, this upgrade is going to over pay for itself. And not Delay – customer data review only works on the data entered in 2009 or 2010, so the sooner you upgrade sooner you can start saving money!

But this is not the only reason to upgrade. Intuit really been listening to our needs this year and have added many new features – Large and small – that will make your bookkeeping is much easier!

Sometimes it's the little things that make a difference to you daily life. Several handy little features have been released without fanfare, but they are sure to be crowd pleasers. We already connected and find them lacking when we work on pre-2010 files.

• You can also print electronic signatures on checks! Yeah!
• There is a great little record button on top of transactions you can now save partially completed forms.
• You can now highlight Row on your bank reconciliations
• There is a cool new feature to filter supplier in Pay Bills

New! Add / edit multiple entries List

This is our favorite new feature! Seizure of large quantities of data in the list is now as easy as copying and pasting. Quickly enter or edit multiple items, customers and suppliers so you can make changes faster and more efficiently than ever. This will be a huge time saver for us, which translates into savings for our customers. It is so easy to use you'll probably still need our help!

New! Intuit QuickBooks Check Solution

We have been using the starting solutions for several months now, and we like to be able to verify the process ACH debits account! However, it was not integrated with QuickBooks 2009, which forced us to manually Re-enter each payment and deposit in QuickBooks. We nostalgia for the payment easy download and automatic deposit match-ups found with the Intuit Merchant Services, we are therefore delighted to discover it is now integrated in 2010. We've improved this feature alone. If you accept a large number of checks, you should definitely check it out. You can now accept checks electronically from the comfort of your office. Scan (or enter key) checks in QuickBooks and funds are automatically deposited into your bank account.

New! Intuit Payment Go

While we're on the subject of payment solutions, we have recently signed for service Go Intuit payment for our iPhones. You can now get paid on the spot by accepting payments by credit card using your mobile phone. How exciting is that!

• E-mail or SMS to electronic receipts customers directly from your phone

New! QuickBooks Document Management

We have been very SmartVault happy with, but will probably switch to using Intuit integrated document management tool now included in 2010. You can now electronic "clip" your documents to QuickBooks transactions to stay organized and save time. Organize receipts, contracts, statements and more by joining the electronic files or scanned to any customer, supplier, employee, account or transaction. NOTE: We said he does not work with any scanner yet, so be sure to check that your scanner is supported before making the switch.

We have our favorites on our toolbar for years, and we're running out of space! Create shortcuts and move faster. Get one click access your daily tasks by using the Favorites menu:

Improved! Services Online Banking

Personally, we like the new online banking interface, but many people have used for several years struggled to get used to it. Once again, Intuit is listening and now you get the best of both worlds – the choice between experience anterior bank online from QuickBooks 2008 (register) or a redesigned Online Banking Center (side-by-side view)

Improved! Company Snapshot

A snapshot of the company has been redesigned and is a step in the right direction, but it does not compare to the add-on reporting tools out there (our favorite is Qvinci). But you can get a snapshot in bottom line with more at-a-Glance reports featuring easy to read graphs. See data from several years side by side for comparison Fast.

Improved! Report Center

The Report Center has also been redesigned. Spend less time looking for the right report. Find quickly and easily by previewing a report full size sample before the run. No more looking at tiny thumbnails.

• See reports recently-run-QuickBooks even remembers your custom settings
• Get a shortcut to the reports you use most in creating the "favorites"

Improved! Customizing Forms

Arise and running quickly and easily. Installing QuickBooks 2010 is easier than ever for both new users and improvements to our facility improvements. NOTE: We had some problems installing QuickBooks 2010 after upgrading to Windows 7. If you encounter problems, you may want to consider making a full installation of Windows 7 instead of upgrade.
